Hi
Does anyone know where the cruise ecu is on a 1997 300tdi auto please.
Haynes manual says drop the panel below the steering column, done that, cant see an ecu!

do you have an edc unit, is c/c not cotrolled from it? Not sure myself not a system that I have had to do much with as generally reliable or maybe just not used much up in N/S scotland, not enough motorways.

it does have edc - didn't realise the cruise was controlled by the edc - will investigate further. Thanks

My cc doesn't work either haven't looked into it much tbh but have read likely cause is loss of vacuum due to hoses perishing..

Thanks will go hunting, Haynes told me it was drivers side!

Other than a split vacuum hose I've never had a problem with may CC so I can only go by what the workshop manual says to locate the ECU so this is it.

Thanks, will look in the morning. I have had a windscreen leak on the N/S so depending on just where the ecu is it could have been for a swim.
