3 weeks in, few niggles..

Three weeks into Disco ownership now.. one thing has become clear, i'm going to know this "landy" intimately over the next few months! i do enjoy driving it though so it's worth keeping on top of any jobs i reckon.. few little niggles though..

- Taking a long time to turn over when very cold.. so much so i ran the battery flat last week trying to get it going.. Been ok since things have got a bit milder, heater plugs maybe?

- Just after she starts there's a wierd wirring noise coming from the engine bay? possibly starter motor?

- Steering wheel is off centre, hopefully sorting that this week..

- One of the airbags is leaking, don't know yet wether i'm going to have it replaced or go for springs..

- Standard speakers are ****e! Just fitted a USB kenwood head unit which the speakers don't seem to be able to handle..

Other than that all well at the moment!

do a search on cold starting....loads of recent stuff on this for some reason?
whirring does sound like starter not disengaging....I'd hit it with a hammer but then i got series' and thats a standard cure.
'Tother Disco chaps will wanna know engine/model etc....the more info the betterer...er

Put a set of heater plugs in her. Change to coils best thing I ever did.

Post edited! lol.. it's a disco 2 TD5.. give the starter a wack eh? might try that tomorrow..

Also change fuel filter as it may be bunged up. Check battery is up to the job
