I need to fit a second battery to run a heater in my 300tdi auto.....so as it has edc and an airflow meter was wondering if it would get enough air from a 200tdi airbox.I have a southdown snorkle fitted ,hence no room due to the front air intake into filter box to fit a battery.it has no abs so that wouldnt be in the way. Has anyone successfully done this? ,as dont want to buy a filterbox and piping if it wont fit. Thanks, and yes i have done a search but lots of discussion but no definitive answer or pics. Cheers,S.

I've got a small eberspacher diesel air heater, that i want to use for defrosting and heating the interior,as it takes longer to defrost the windows than the short trip i do to work . so i dont want to run it off the starter battery. and i cant leave the car running out the front in mornings cos of the pikey types round here ! and maybe when i win the lottery i might get a winch ........
Oh yeah, and you know the 12v plug in your lightersocket heaters ? absolute ****e and a waste of money!

Well a decent size motorcycle battery should do the trick and a lot of later bikes have gel filled batterys so they can be mounted in any position you like as they dont leak. Not cheap though.
