Anyone know if a 200tdi alternator with a v belt pulley will do for a 300tdi with serpentine belt if the pulley is swapped over, and indeed if the pulleys are interchangeable>

Mind you,GM fitted that same alternator (the 300 one that is) to a lot of cars you see in the scrap yards. James will put me right on this....but is it not a Lucas 127 type in various guises? If so,thats a pretty common unit,shouldnt be hard to find one if you can wander a breakers yard.If it IS the same unit then if it has a common shaft then your pulley should go right on......James?
