1998 disco wont start

i have a 1998 discovery 3.9L petrol and it wont start . i went to pull off the starter to check the brushs and just thought id check the signal to the soleniod after which there is none i can start the car bypassing the ingition starter so im guessing its electrical problem some where. it could even be the relay but have no idea which one it is HELP? also i diagram of what relay is what would be really helpful

got one only says drivers side kick pennel theres 7 relays there

If things are working after you bypassed the ign switch then that shows the switch is faulty.
