I just purchased a 1996 Disco and the front shaft coming out of the transfer box seems to be loose and making noise. When I shift through the gears it makes kind of a slapping noise. Can I just replace that front output shaft bearing? And how would I go about doing that? Thanks for any advice!

remove prop,remove nut(30mm) remove flange,remove seal,circlip,replace nut and washer lever out brg and shaft ,leave in diff lock keeps diff lock collar in place,fill reverse of seal with grease or similar to hold garter spring in place while fitting

Hi all sorry to dig up an old thread, but i now have the same problem 
got no problem/worries about doing the job but where can i get the parts? the seal isn`t leaking yet and the play is only very slight, but ive had problems with my uj`s in the last couple of weeks and had to replace both front prop ujs (my own fault for buying cheap ujs!) could this have had an effect on the output bearing?
