Tub Capping Removal

I have a serve problem with rust at the weld part way down the tub capping on my 90 hard top, I have found a source of galvanised replacement cappings but before I start pulling the beast to bits and find myself with a bigger job than planned could anyone offer any tips / war stories of having done this and how easily it is to get the old capping off the tub.

take the roof off and the rear door side panelsto Or grind off all you can see do same with new ones bit of silly cone afew rivits and away you go

Unbolt the front of the roof from the top of the windscreen, take yer back door off, then unbolt the sides from the tub/old cappings and lift off roof and sides together. Replace the cappings, fit new seals and bolt it all back together again
