I also have a 6 bolt box which is leaking, when at eastnor recently, I talked to the guy on the ADWEST stand and he told me that all 200 Tdi land rovers came out off the production line with a 4 bolt adwest box.
My leaking gemmer 6 bolter looked like a replacement box anyway as it was (is) a vivid bright green colour, a search through the posts sugests that 6 bolt gemmer boxes are a cheaper replacement for what should have been a 4 bolt adwest box.
I don't think that changing the pipework around would be a big job.

Was kinda in the same boat not so long ago, me green bus had the 6 bolt and the white one had the 4 bolt and ah thought about swapping them over. Only prob was the white ones box was leakin' and had a look at the pipes and the were different, so ah just got another 6 bolt box... Much easier
And when ye say about the green colour... mines was like that.

Bit late with a reply here, but just changed mine from a six bolt to a four bolt, pipework fittings are the same and everything else lined up. Had to fit a different drop arm though. The difference in steering response is wonderful, no more calculating the distance before a bend to start turnining the wheel.
