Since owning a Defender 90, I have changed (quite significantly).

I have become a more considerate, polite and conscientious driver. I generally drive within the speed limit and am now normally early for appointments. I've also become a lot more aware of my surrounding on the road. I now routinely carry a full socket and spanner set in the back and am more hands on in the grease department, making me a more rounded individual. This has also led me to become a more avid user of eBay. I actually wash my car once a week, which is a new thing for me (sorry to the mud purists). I am a more friendly road user, waving at fellow drivers and such. Other new experiences include booking my first ever chiropractic session and not sleeping too well due heightened awareness and paranoia.

I wouldn't change bloody thing!

Owning and driving one certainly changes your perspective on lots of things. For the better, obviously!

Totally agree. The landy certainly changed, and possibly saved, my life.
Before the 90 I had a series of fast cars, the last being a 911. I spent most of the time getting frustrated with the traffic holding me up, looking for overtaking oportunities, being worried about speed cameras, getting overtaken in completely inappropriate places by numpties in citroen saxos with massive exhaust pipes and not getting let out into traffic.
Now I sit in the slow lane, keeping up happily with the HGVs, a smile on my face and not a care in the world cos I know I can't get there quicker and therefore there is no point trying. Much better for the blood pressure.
I did get my first speeding ticket in 20 years though. After 5 percent allowance they fined me 40 euros for 91 kmh in a 90 kmh zone. less than 1 mile an hour over the limit

She nice owning a 90 my back has gone, my wallet is lighter and driveway dirtier but in the winter I didn't have to stay home.

Oh and I think it's made me less attractive to the opposite sex.....

I agree I do feel a lot less stressed driving my Landie instead of my normal car.

Although my 200tdi will happily sit at 70 all day on the motorway.
