Locked Radio - DOH!!!

In my infinite wisdom I've managed to lock out the radio cassette in my Defender 300 tdi - I now have the correct code but am getting a message sayin ERR - is there any way I can reset the radio myself?

you could try to disconnect your battery ,but watch if you have an alarm it will go off after 15 sec. when you disconnect the battery .So you need to be quick !!!! then you can reset your radio ,try it and see it might work ...

The radio in our range rover locked out, the cure was to leave it switched on whilst driving for 1 hour, at which point it requested the correct code, might help!

wow, my first post.

If it's a Land Rover rad/cass hold in the 'band' button (for 5-10 seconds) until the error message dissapears and you are requested to enter the code.
