Hello
Have bought various bits and bats to clean and swap onto my 110 e.g. radius arms for a fiver. I want to clean it and repaint it, put new bushes in and then do a straight swap onto my landy....I can always sell the ones I took off and the circle of life begins again!
What's the concensus on cleaning suspension arms, panhard etc etc and what is the best paint to make them look pristine again. Can you sandblast em etc?
Thanks

The way I do it is:
Degrease!
Wire brush attachment on the angle-grinder / drill and get all the old paint off. (You could sandblast it, but I don't have the kit for that at home.)
Coat of marine-quality zinc-rich red primer (I use Corroless)
Coat of black chassis paint (I use Frosts)

And that's it - the bits look like new :)

i cleaned mine up with the knotted wire brush attachment on the grinder. Removed the old bushes and painted with red oxide primer, Then fitted the polybushes before a quick spray of waxoyl, Just to keep it hte same as the rest of the underside, This year when it is time to redo the waxoyl i can spray everything at the one time
