ive got a problem with my gearbox on my 90 does any 1 know where i can get parts from to sort it out as i can only get 2ed and 4th gear. or how easy is it to get a disco box to fit?

disco box doesnt fit with out a conversion,in what way cant you get gears ,does stick feel loose .jams while trying ,grates while trying ?you can remove turret and check yoke is tight ,remove gear box extension selector housing and check quadrant yoke there ,anything else requires stripping box lt77 or r380? if you need parts i can help with numbers ,parts can be bought at any parts supplier

Thanks for speedy reply , it grates into gears what i can get, second and fourth and cant find others, gear stick seems loose with lots of play,

remove the turret under gear stick and check it and yoke ,2nd is usually first baulk ring to wear ,you can only change oil to help it would need rebuild to fix it

Update when changing from 1st to second gear grates , up to 3rd and 4th ok, but changing down to 3rd it grates and 3rd to 2nd also, was wondering if simple or to replace box.

do a search on the forum for BIAS plate

it can be as simple as yours being broken and not being able to engage/find the gears.

you have to take the centre console out to check the plate, it sits on top of the gearbox where the gear stick is

ha bollocks, its a 90, not a disco. BIAS plate might still apply though? not sure...

What is involved in the disco box conversion as the disco box is alot easier to find and a lot cheaper then the 90 box

Making an adaptor to elongate the selector shaft to allow the defender remote to fit the disco box. Assuming were talking r380. search defender to disco or something like that as theres a diagram of the adaptor you need.

Can't confirm it works yet as I'm still making the adaptor.
