Hi, it's been a long time I was on this form, but now I have an question. I have done a 2.5 n/a to 200 TDI conversion in my 110 1984. No problems. I have fitted a elec. fan onto the radiator by using the supplied plastic straps, you have to put though the radiator. Now the radiator leaks, because during greenlaning the fan got loose and the straps damaged the radiator. I do not want to use these plastic straps again. Does anybody know another solution to fit the fan? It's a fan from bearmach on a 200 tdi radiator. ( sorry for my bad English, I'm Dutch)

Well, i think so. Not during driving, but i was stationaire for 1 hour last weekend with running engine, then i needed it. Also in slow trafic at hot summer days

"hot summers day" whats that? :p

I have run mine for a couple of years now, with no fan. Including quite a bit of towing. Never had engine overheat, yet. But my circumstances may differ from yours. I think if your Rad is in good condition, and system well flushed out you could get by without a fan.

today fitted a new radiator, i have put the fan on two metal strips, just before the radiator, the strips are bolted to the frame
