Take one 90 with a knackered 19j engine

And one disco with a seemingly sweet running 300tdi engine in it

I paid £600 for this, it's got 4 months MOT remaining so I could drive it home, it cost £28 for a days insurance and 20 odd quid for tax. It ran nice and quiet and no pressure from the oil filler. Planning on giving it a full service before I fit it so I've bought a cam belt kit, 'p' gasket, new water pump (just in case) and rocker cover gasket as it looks like it's been leaking a bit.
Started to strip the 90 today, took my time with it and took plenty of pictures just for reference of how to put it back together.
It now looks like this

One of the problems/bonuses of 265's is there's plenty of room to get underneath on my crawler jobber but I need a step up to get over the wing

Everything should be disconnected but I'll give it the once over before I pull the engine, thank God I've got small hands cos some of the bolts on the back of the engine were a git to get at, but as the light was starting to drop I made a start on the Disco instead of pulling the engine out.

I think the rad is knackered

Time to start packing away at the end of day one, cleaning all my tools and stopping everything from rattling in the wind. I keep toying with doing this..

For the first time I've been disciplined when it came to gloves so not to much scrubbing

Back to work tomorrow but I've got 4 days off coming up, should be finished early enough to get to Craddocks after work for a new rad and temp sensor. I'll keep you all posted.....
