Default Cost for a full respray?

HI folks, another question, 90 truck cab, how much do you reckon, ball park for a half tidy full respray? Taking into account some rubbing back and treating a few spots?

yeah I kinda knew that. I know one place has a "guy" who does an acceptable job for 250 but thats only if you are buying the landy from the yard there. Its just an idea....

it was 30 quid an hour for labour 4 years back when i was sprayin so im geussing its more now, plus cost of materials...your lookin around the 500 quid mark. used to take me a day to prep one, and half the next day to paint it. you will save yourself a shit load having a bash yourself, just need a half decent compressor and a roof over you. your paying for ovens and all sorts at garages, and you dont need them

I would set aside a couple of days to prep it, if you go at it hammer and tong it's likely to be a mess. Take the time with the masking up coz it makes so much difference to the finish.

It's years since I painted and I did my merc the other day and fook it's hard work without all the power tools we had then.

Dont buy the paint until you have satisfied yourself that its ready, coz if the paint is laying there its so much of a temptation to say, that will do it, paint it and be dissapointed.

I dont like these telly things where they renovate stuff, that one where the squad of half wits went around doing steam engines and so on. They did a fire engine and it looked good on the program but it was a fookin mess.

You can hire the kit or buy a compressor for about 80 quid that will do the job, a spray gun will cost about 60 quid. A compressor is a great tool, get an air gun and a ratchet and it makes all the jobs on yer motor so much easier.
