I think that my voltage regulator is shot on my alternator as its throwing out 15v instead of 12v.

I am reluctant to go and buy a new alternator straight away. I was wondering if the alternator voltage regulator in the in the picture can be replaced?

If so can it be replaced with this - LAND ROVER 90/110 DEFENDER ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE REGULATOR 200TDI 300TDI | eBay

I didnt measure it personally, my landy garage did. Its causing my lights to pulse.

Not sure exactly what voltage it was reading, they just told me it was the regulator they thought.

It is a 300 tdi

sounds about right, ideally at full output it woul;d be 14.4V, so if its a crappy meter 15V sounds plausible.
a 12V battery is 13.2V at rest, fully charged (6 cells at 2.2V each) needs 14.4V to fully charge and around 13.6V to float charge.
