Surely something else is wrong?

The first 2 were Britpart but the third was a good quality one.

I seem to get about 2K miles out of them.

My clutch pedal squeaks and feels like its lightly binding on something, its just not smooth.

Got a little puddle under the clutch pedal, this time I am going to see how long it will work. I have a spare cylinder but I am thinking about changing the entire clutch pedal and cylinder mount assembly???

Mine is on its third in 8 months and as per yours roughly 2 k ish each one, and it was always the same little trickle of fluid down the pedal onto the mat, all of the cylinders i fitted were TRW which is oe, then i noticed latest cylinder (3rd one) was starting to drip again!
Couple of days later the clutch started to slip in fourth, new clutch fitted and the cylinder has stopped dribbling, so maybe the worn out clutch is a factor in this, ie its somehow overstroking?

I have decided to change the entire clutch pedal assembly.
Am getting a price quote.

Ever since I had the 90 there has been a loudish squeek when I press the pedal and it always feels like something is binding, kinda like metal against metal.
So I am thinking that something is bent and that something may be destroying the master cylinder.

The clutch itself feels great , lots of bite.

Squeak easy to fix, remove the 6 top screws and oil the main pivot.
Mine also squeaked and i thought my clutch was fine to.

the brass bushes and pin wear on the 300tdi clutch pedal which gives the squeak and the feeling that its rubbing on something. I always fit lucas master and slave cylinders and was aslo told it was good practice to replace as a pair

Do you think that the bushes wearing out could give enough slack to cause damage to the cylinder?

when the bushes wore out on my pedal(300TDI) the pedal wobbled a bit, screetched and bent the push rod slightly

Thats what I am thinking is going on.
Parts are on the way, I cant believe how cheap LR parts are compared to Jap and American parts, less than half!

Thanks.

Well so far so good.

Changed the entire clutch pedal assembly and master cylinder.
No more leak, squeak or grinding feeling when I sink the clutch pedal.
Feels really nice.
Also changed the main engine belt, the one that was on was dry rotted. Very easy to do.

Pumkin is now ready for her 4th out island vacation on Wednesday.
Pictures will follow in a couple weeks.
