insurance just jumped up £500 for declaring side window mods!!!!

try NFU, Insurance, pensions and investments - NFU Mutual & cost me no more on insurance to add windows and seats and they said any mods that are NOT performance related, to document with receipts and photos, but they wont affect the premium :)

Thanks Hock - went with NFU, Skipton branch - really helpful and nice to deal with. £415 on installments. More than the £118 I was paying 4 wks ago for the 2.5 n/a, but the claim for it being stolen hasn't helped. So all in all, just relieved that it's now insured at a reasonable price. I do have to notify them when I fit (have them fitted professionally) the rear seats and it will go up 20%, but what can you do.

google (I don't have their contact details ) they were the cheapest for my mate with big wheels lifted suspention and a winch.
let us know if they give you a good quote.

HI i have just bought a 2002 td5 defender with a few non performance mods normal stuff i guess ! winch sliders etc and(egr plate) to be done before collection ,and glynswood (0845 226 8559) came in at £257 for off road/greenlaning and towing, and nfu and kwik fit came in at around £365
