What is this piece of paperwork for my landy?

So after removing my land rover front dash I found a green piece of paper tucked inside one of the vents...

I think I've attached a picture correctly, so this paper has my vehicle specs, with what spec and extras were chosen. It also has the correct vehicle ID number that is shown on my bulkhead...

So it this a receipt or something and also is this specific piece of paperwork common or rare for a 1980 era series 3

As you say, it's the original build options chosen for your vehicle when it was being built. I wouldn't go throwing it away!

I found the same wedged inside the back door of mine. I binned the fooker once I'd read it.

Does anyone know the proper name for it so I can find out more about it on the web.

It's a piece of history and IMO I think it adds a bit of value to your Landy, I would keep it.

As for the proper name and more info on it, call the dealer, you never know whats in their archives.

What you have there is a factory build card. When the vehicles were built, they were usually hidden somewhere in the vehicle. I found one from a series 2 rolled up in one of the tub supports (not in any good condition though!)

From what I have experienced, they are extremely uncommon, and not many series land rovers are now original enough to still have them.

As for value, it wouldn't add much, if anything, to the value of your vehicle, but is a really great historic thing to find that needs to stay with the vehicle!

Found one in my '83 109. It had all the paintwork changes as it was a military vehicle. Very interesting as I was able to trace the "original" colour under the 7 layers which I have removed before repainting her. My paperworkwork has gone in the old girls archives along with the used shell casings and the German sweet wrappers found in the heater vents and under the seat box..

When I bought my present day S3 in 75 it had quite a few of those around the landrover...I think I still have them...facotry build slips as stated...hope I still have them.

I thought they were just referred to as 'build sheet' or 'build cards'.

The name AVON on it gives it away as a 'Make-Up Card'
