I am trying to locate some galvanised tree sliders for my 1975 88" series 3, or failing that galvanised rock sliders or jackable sills, as I can't find any reasonable ones anywhere???

Cheers

Stratie,

Unfortunately I am a wood butcher by trade and all this metal banging is new to me... I hope to learn to weld in the near future, but until then I am resigned to the fact that I am going to have to buy ridiculously expensive parts from others - ah well needs must

Iannotts...

Do you make the tree sliders yourself, and if you do how much would a pair cost for a 88" SWB Series 3 (1975)?
Ideally I would prefer them to be galvanised with the ends slightly angled to continue the line of the wheel arch... Is this something that you would be interested in?

Cheers

Did you ever get any bars OZAWOZA? Im looking for a set just the same but cant get hold of DrEvil at the moment who was making me some.

No...don't recall getting a response, and stopped trialling her so didn't see the need to get them in the end - Sorry

I am having some made (almost identical to mill services ones) locally - been quoted £85 unfinished (not treated or painted) which I thought was a very good price, should be all done and fitted in a week or so

mill services ones come with brackets, are your ones chief?
I'm looking to paint mine anyway so not worried about Galv too much

I hope they gonna come with brackets has I am not sure how they fix or what to so if anyone knows that can let me know then I can make sure he knows has he has only done defender ones upto now which have different fixing areas
