A serious case of 'Flatulance'

Nope, not on mine. It handles suprisingly well at speed :rolly: :D

Does yours have the 'over the chassis rails' anti-roll bars front and back? Apparently early one didn't and suffered from the chassis flexing

yeah mines got those. They look pretty cool i reckon! and I you cant really complain about access to change the anti roll bushes can ye! :)

Ive only had mine up to 20 on the drive. The brakes dont work at the minute. It was described on the advert as probably a leaking slave cylinder.....

er actually its because the brake pipe from the master cylinder was in the back of the ambulance

Are you fitting parabolics?

Did think about paras but after some research as standard they're fitted with hd 109 springs and the general advice is one step up to 1ton springs is an improvement.. Paras might be a little soft and wallowy. I dont mind road springs so long as they get some grease every so often.

Mmmm i am unsure which way to go. The front end of mine is seized solid. Might try freeing them off but I am sure they will never be the same as good condition ones.

Ive got a set of paras in the shed. But if i fitted some decent dampers wouldnt this help? And the anti roll bars must help?

I'm only going by what I've read but the ARBs were added to stochassis flex so not sure how much it'd help.
I've got a pair of nos ambulance dampers, just had a look but they've not got a part number on, bought them for the 109 when I added the winch but never fitted them which is just as well because the shrouds on mine have rusted away.

Something else I spotted on fleabay last night are new, modified roof vents which supposedly donft leak...I'll post a link when I'm home though there might only be one left :p

i'd be surprised if extended shackles were needed with 1ton springs, i'll guess they may need longer U bolts due to either more leaves (doubtful) or thicker leaves (more likely)

i don't see how an anti-roll bar could stop chassis flex as it's to stop body roll, which would mean it would be placing even more stress on the chassis trying to keep it all square with the axle(s) and stop it flopping about in corners

The ARBs come over the top of the chassis rails....other than that I'm not sure, only going on what I've read.

With loads of help from Pikey and Minty we got the engine timed properly and faffed about with the mixture until we got her running smooth and smokeless.

Ripped out the horribly bodged trailer socket wiring and after much confusion finally made sense of the original loom wiring and got everything labelled ready to connect up.

New headlights and roof vents delivered.....it's like getting christmas prezzies :D

couple of pics.

typical of an ex MOD series to require a member of time team to get the brakes working :D:D:D:D

Looms all done at the back so I now have a fully working set of lights at the rear :)

Replaced the tails with standard Landy jobs until I get my hands on some military spec jobs but they'll do for the mot.

Waiting for the rain to stop before swapping out the headlights

Electric equipment, medical tools for back of ambulance

Maybe, one propably runs (rather ran) to the work light, another to the red internal light other than that I'm not sure, the rest of the internals I imagine run up the bulkhead partition behind the seats.....

Ooooo one'll be the convoy light....that probably accounts for them.

Just ordered a new indicator/dip stalk as I can't get a feed to dipped though main beam/flash and indicators are fine.

Then I just need a rear number plate and she should pass the retest

cant see the pics bb as im at work but do you need any stretchers? i have no use for the ones that came with mine.

you are surging ahead with yours!!!!
