Im looking for a spin on oil filter housing for my series lll, due to the old style one leaking oil.

I know the 90/110 ones are a straight swap,, just wondering is it just the old 2.5 n/a and 2.5 td(19j's) that are a straight swap? if not what year does this apply to? And am I right in thinking some LDV vans share the same set up? if so what models and upto what years? And is there any other vehicles out there sharing the same filter housing.

Thanks in advance:)

Yeh Ive seen the rocky mountain one, but was hoping to find a used one a little cheeper.

whats wrong with the old type with a new seal

As for new seal,, ive tried new seals etc,, the bloody thing still seems to seep oil,, so upgrading to the spin on filters just seems a cleaner and better option.

Thanks for your input lads:D

i just upgraded my series 2a to a spin on filter, it was off a 2.5na defender, thers a few different ones about , yes , including the ldv's, dont pay more than a tenner for one :)

I just fitted a Turner Engineering spin on conversion to my SIII. Very simple job, very nicely made component. Just needed to extend the wire to the sender for the oil pressure.

25 lbft for the torque wrench setting for the two bolts.

I broke the orginal style housing over tightening it! Real pain, second SIII I have owned where I was clearly the first person in a long time to bother to change the filter, is a bit of pig. There was a fine line between leaking and broken!
