Series 11a with 2.5 diesel

I have a 11a with a 2.5 diesel. The g/box is 11a , I intend to fit a series 111 box. What bell housing will I need?

I think you will need the series three bell housing and clutch, a grown up will be along soon to advise. Pop an introduction in the say hello box before the natives come along.

Also, be aware that the Series 2 style crossmember will need to be modified to fit the series 3 clutch slave cylinder. I recently found this out the hard way.

Is it a 200tdi your fitting? You can use the 2.5 bell housing with a series 3 clutch if so. You need to counterbore 4 lower holes to accept new bolts through the bell housing to the engine block.

All is explaned on the "200Di" diesel conversion for Series Land Rovers - by Glencoyne 4x4 (Thetford) website.

I followed it almost word for word when I did my conversion a couple of months ago.

Sappy, no it's a 2.5 n/a. But it is already in. I'm not sure what bell housing is fitted at present but I think it's a series11.
