This photo shows the backplate behind the rear passenger side wheel.

Should the connection on the rear wheel cylinder be facring towards the front of the vehicle or towards the back? This photo shows it facig towards the back. However, when I changed these in summer 2012, the ones I removed were facing the other way.

I have since had the axles refubished elsewhere, and now they have obviously been re-assembled the opposite way.

Also, I'm sure I remember the adjustment nut for the brake shoe snail cam being towards the back of the vehicle.

Do the plates also need swapping, or should I just leave them as they are?

Thanks for any info.

brake pipe comes into cylinder from the rear , adjuster to the front, back plates are mirror image of themselves so easy to fit on the wrong side

Thanks for the reply

If the pipe goes into the cylinder from the rear, and the adjusters are at the front, it would appear that the plates are now on the right sides.

No problem, I will simply have to re-bend the copper brake pipe I took off.
