Just wondering if this plate means anything to anyone as it looks way too new to be original maybe its been replaced but someone might be able to shed some light on it for me

I used to think the same as most of the series guys on here . That it's sacrilege to mess like that with a series Landy. But over the last 20 years my opinion has changed. To me a Land Rover is a personal thing to put you'r own mark on. Unless the particular vehicle has some historical significance or rarity value.
It's you'r vehicle and you'r money. Do with it what you will.Have fun with it and enjoy it, and above all remember - it's your's and not theirs.
The Series crowd are a very toughest Landy owning bunch there is. I know, I used to be one of them !! (well, still am I suppose with my Lightweight).

Haven't done a lot over the last two weeks apart from picking up my 12j
With radiator, power steering pump, engine mounts and exhaust


But saying that haven't had a lot of time with working Mondays Tuesdays and half days Saturday then college the rest of the week

But talking about work this happened today with my dads disco

Might not have been the best idea but Got the engine running big moment in all honesty just give it a service, cam belt change and change the rear crank seal

So still slowly working on my truck so over the last few weeks got my 12j in still need to weld the engine mounting to the chassis but its geting there

Also got a chubby box from billing its a bit tatty but I can re cover it at a later date









Also had this lovely little lightweight come into work the other week for an mot

put my spare on the back door then realised after I'd put it on the I should have moved it to the left abit more to miss the rear light but oh well hopefully one of my mates don't swing the door open and smash My lights

So guess what got my self a new bumper and some paint and some new shocks







New shocks are a little long and not really meant for a series but for a set of 4 for 30 quid I'm not moaning

So paint it look brighter in pictures then it really is as it's been warm do I've got some on the door and wanted to see if it will react

That poor old girl should ne with somebody whom will love her the way she was PERFECT, but carry on as It's people like you who do vile mode that make the prices rise, its like getting married but saying to your new wife yes bit there's terms and conditions for you first, this is why the series landy is very much now in demand,

Sorry SAMC88, but you have got to admit, he has wrecked it no RAPED IT..

One piece doors defender screen king cab though that admittedly is easy to change,
It's really offensive. Oh and an offender front end!

and this is a prime example why my series 2a is staying an oily rag restoration (all landies need to grow old gracefully & keep battle scars)
