they only sent you one bar? that's not on!!
with a small amount of bending you can make the bar fit to the back face of the slider to the rear face of the outrigger if that makes sense?
that will save you taking tank out.
to be honest the 6 bolts on my tank came out nicely which is why I opted for tank out job.
have you any pics of the welds? I'm gutted for you if they look bad as mine were spot on hence my recommendation chief
