help need were to get parts

hi all i am trying to get hold of the throttle linkage for my series 3 it was petrol but it now as a 2.25 diesel in it. so i need to get hold of the linkage between the accelerator cable and the linkage to the throttle body on the air intake. can anyone advise me were i can get these from cheers andy

By throttle body I assume you are reffering to the butterfly flap ? This is there to create vacuum for the brake servo on the series three. Not sure if they are still available new but plenty around second hand from people who have fitted 200 TDI engines etc.
Personally I have binned the linkage to the butterfly flap, removed the flap and blanked off the holes. When well worn they are a bugger to set up and get good running and servo.
I fitted an electric vacuum pump, this is activated from the brake light switch via a relay.
Result, consistent servo, improved running and little or no smoke. I used a Hella U28 this is badged as a Volvo part, others are available, the pump was new and around £70 four years ago. It took around two hours to make a bracket to fit to the bulkhead and wire up then fit a short piece of vacuum hose. I have never looked back plus as long as the ignition is on you have servo brakes, nice if being towed or stall up a hill !
