And now, because I couldn't resist it, I added the bulkhead, even though I know it needs to come off for some further work.

Didn't you know, shiny things work better!!

Got the paint brush out and some of the red oxide to make the bulkhead look almost like new.

Then moved onto that wonderful bronze green!

The memories of all that rust and filler have disappeared with a bit of welding and a few coats of the glorious green.
Then I put my shiny fuel tanks back on.

Been adding various bits back onto the engine.


And the other shiny fuel tank.

And the most important bit; the vent flaps!!!

But I've found this bit! I assume that it must be a bracket but I can't remember where it came from?? Any suggestions??

Yep, front drivers bracket. Going back on at the weekend.

Started to sort the seat box out this weekend. First job, clean up that grim looking fuel transfer switch.

A bit of swearing and scrubbing with a toothbrush.

I'll sort the electrics out later.
Then to make it look a bit more presentable.

Stripped everything back until I was left with just the seat box. Rub down, primer and three coats of the green and...

As usual I couldn't wait so put it in to see what it looked like. Then remembered that I'd already cleaned and repainted the floor sections so they went in too!!

Starting to look like a vehicle again!!

Everythings on a go slow now due to work and other stuff. So decided to put some bodywork loosely on to protect for the winter and wrap it up until Spring.
But..... now that I've put bits on and she's looking alive I'm feeling the urge to keep going in the cold??!!##**#

When putting the bonnet on realised that I'd got over enthusiastic with the rivet gun and rivetted through the bolt holes!!!

Looking good. Whilst I try to avoid any planned maintenance or repairs in the Winter, it is actually quite nice to get out in the fresh air on sunny winter days. I remember stripping bitumen paint off the seat box, transmission cover and floor plates on mine when it was well below freezing. A good 2 days work out in the cold. I was so enthusiastic as seeing the lovely bronze green paint appear from underneath that I never really noticed the cold that weekend.....perhaps the strong petrol fumes softened my senses!

Sad news.
After all the trials and tribulations detailed in this thread my Landy journey is coming to an end. Due to various unforeseen circumstances and further changes anticipated soon I am having to give up the restoration. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone on this forum for the support, advice and kind words over the past four years. I am also selling the old girl (still in many bits) if anyone is interested!!

After all the effort you've gone to its a shame not to be able to finish and enjoy her
