So I have a bearmach petrol mechanical lift pump which is fairly new and all new petrol fuel lines up to a new inline filter before my new weber carb.

I find that when I come to start it after a couple of days it runs for a couple of seconds and then dies, restarts fine after a couple of attempts.

Now, I noticed that the petrol after time drains out of the inline filter back down into the pump and then the tank im guessing which may be causing my issue.

Do the pumps have non returns in them or would fitting a small inline check non return valve cure my issues?

yeah I thought that too Dom, think I'll order a new AC delco pump from Keith Gott and fit an inline check prior to the filter just to be sure.

Im also bypassing the electrical feed from the steering column switch feed to coil via a separate ignition switch as im sure an intermittent bunny hop backfire is caused by faulty feed to coil too.....lots of mods :)
