First RTV trial coming soon with Shetland Land Rover Cub and my front propshaft has decided to die.

I have a 1969 series 2a with series box and axles, I also have a series 2 on a chopped down 1971 Range Rover Classic Chassis and standard running gear.

What I want to know is will I be able to use the RRC propshaft on my Series 2a?

I have to have 4x4 for first RTV on 19th April

No its slightly longer have one I shortened on my front axle as the range rover one has wider angle joints on it..

I could measure it but I wont be home till weekend, Blackburn how much longer was it as I have parabolic springs, where about did you cut n weld the shaft?

I had fitted the range rover flange ends originally to give more flex as my parabolics had rotated the axle downwards.
When sliding joint started to fail on old one took the leap and cut the old range rover one to shorten it.
This pics should help

Have not balanced it but as I have free wheeling hubs only used at low revs in 4wd.

Thanks for that, the propshaft I have taken off my Landy looks very much like the one nearest the camera in the jaws of the vice in your first pic.

Are Range Rover flanges a perfect match for Series Axles?

I have not been able to measure properly but the propshaft on my Range Rover Classic chassis seems only about 2" longer than the standard Series propshaft, hope it works fine, fingers crossed

Thanks for the help chaps, I decided to buy a new front propshaft from Paddocks so no fish n chips for me this year
