Front pnael splash plate

Can anyone give me any suggestions on how this front panel splash plate should fit?

I can't see any obvious way from looking at it, and the manual doesn't show anything.

Hi ,
Basically to the underside of the top of the wing , & through the footwell . There should be a bracket spot welded to the underside of the wing - often corroded , easy enough to fabricate & rivet in a replacement , also don't forget when bolting to the footwell , use a longer bolt & add some kind of spacer between then footwell & the panel so that water & crud can pass through. that's what kills them in the first place .
