flat pack

saw it talked about on the s1 forum, I think for most people unless you could do the welding yourself, it would be simpler to buy the ready made galved chassis via the s1 club.

the only advantage for the flat pack was a much shorter waiting period, iirc it is about 2 months for the club one but you would get the right chassis for your number with the club one.

don't think anyone had actually taken the plunge and got one.

certainly a whole lot of work but I must say i'd love to see one that had been built up pure welding porn haha :D bit expensive I suppose but I guess if keeping an original chassis going it would be also be usefull as a repair kit to?

When I did mine as I remember I paid about £200 for the steel sheet, I cut it out myself and a fabrication firm charged me £20 to fold everything on their pressbrake including the front bumper.
