Exhaust front pipe/manifold connection

Can anyone tell me the nut/bolt size/pattern for a series 3 2.25 petrol front pipe to manifold connection ? can't seem to get the details anywhere and not too happy leaving the PO's homemade brass efforts on my new exhaust !!
 
Should be 5/16 UNF and yes they should be Brass, this is to stop then seizing to the stud.
