Exclamation Dodgy carb in Yemen

Got a '79 SIII in Aden, Yemen, and the carb is some bodge job done by some local rag head. Its some kind of jap thing which sort of fits but is causing major problems.

Anyone know of a local yard which has any LR spares?

ok, come on, someone MUST want to sell an old carb or know something about where to get one in Yemen??!!...............hello?

There are still a large numbers of Series vehicles in daily use in Yemen and Oman, albeit with various non original mod's to keep them going, so surprised you can't find any in the local breakers.
You don't actually say what the problem is with the current set-up but past experience in this area has impressed me with what the local mechanics can fix.
I'm guessing you don't want to spend too much money otherwise you could order one on line and have it DHL'd?
