Dimensions help

Morning all,

I need a little help from someone with a series 3 and a measuring tape. I don't collect my first S3 until this weekend all being well but I've been looking for a dog box for the back. There's a particular brand that I prefer and have in my other car and one has come up locally at a good price. I want to snap it up but be double sure first that it'll fit.

I want it so sit on the bottom of the tub between the arch boxes and pushed back against the bulkhead. It measure two feet wide by three foot front to back. I'm thinking it should fit comfortably but it's only the width really that concerns me.

My series 3 is on loan to a mate but from memory...... 36" between wheel arches and 40"/48 door to seat bulkhead. Sorry can not be more specific.

As stated - 36 and a smidgin wide, 48 and 2 smidgins long, so you should be able to fit it in sideways.
