A long time back, maybe 15/20 years or so, the daughter of a friend of mine was going out with a youngish chap who actually owned the, I believe I am right, Series 1, SWB Landrover that was used in the Great Train Robbery back in 1963. I checked the registration number and it was spot on, the provenance was undisputed because I sort of poo-poohed the fact in the first hearing, I had to check it all out..... I wonder where she is now, the Landrover, not the daughter....

Funnily enough I've met the bloke who sold it to one of the robbers (White I think).. he lives near Thetford, I went to his place to pick up a hood frame for a 90 once.. interesting bloke to talk to, and he had a lot of BIG military vehicles.. :)

BMG757A was the earlier of the two used - it was still active and in use in September 2012 by the owner, though, he rarely takes it to shows.
