Any difference between front brake and rear brake shoes series 3?

After fitting new brake shoes, spring and cylinders all round. My adjusters are not working. I have got the leading shoes etc the right way round but is there any possibility that I put the front shoes on the back or vise Versa and how can I tell?

if they are right the pin on the shoe will be inline with center of snail much above or below its the wrong shoe

Fronts and rears are different sizes on later landrover if thats yours in your avatar , possibly 11" drums on front with twin cylinders and two adjusters at front 1980 was the year the brakes where upgraded.
Have the adjusters not just stripped ie head turning but not moving shoe remove drum and check adjuster does adjust shoes.

Mine is a 75 S3...same front back.

The straight 6 and V8 have different size shoes front and rear.

Indeed it's only 88" and it has a single brake pipe going into the cylinders

are they 11 drums on the rear as in a LWB, of so the shoes are handed. The adjuster pegs are in slightly diffeent positions.

Up to June 1980 the front and rear brake shoes on a series 3, 88 inch were identical part number RTC3411 axle set kind regards. Chris
