boy! i am losing the will to live looking for a descent p38 down here!! i even went to see the other one advertised on here today. not a bad machine but absolutly no history, some poor spraying of the bonnet and all the way down the offside! not mentioned in the ad which is a shame. and then to round it off nicely the chap had disconnected the battery and for some reason, and he could not get it started when he did connect it, apparently it locked out? at least we know the alram and immobiliser works! it appears that the keyfob battery was not working or summit, so i guess there is only one key also. still, he is going to let me know when he has it going again, which would be nice!

....other stuff i have seen near here is not as described by any means or is soooo expensive its laughable! dont get me wrong, i aint expecting showroom condition for what i want to spend, i just want an honest car from an honest private owner, its always the way down here in cornwall.

and as for dealers!! they are even worse, unrealistic and very bloody greedy. hello! there is a recession on chaps! when you take a vehicle to a dealer for part ex they insult you by offering the lowest price in thier treasured parkers guide telling you that it has to be in poor condition and then laugh like hell in your face and insult you even more buy claiming all thier cars are in excellent condition cos they have slapped some auto glym on it and infouriatingly cleaned the tyre walls of the almost shagged tyres:eek: and that at the very least are worth a thousand quid more than excellent condition value in the same book and then claiming that the book cannot be trusted as a guide!:censored: dickeads! they seem to think that having a deal is offering you 50 quid off but removing the warranty..... perhaps it's just me that thinks this is scamming at its best?:violent: the best of it all is they think it is perfectly normal behaviour....... rant over

so dont count me out just yet matey, i may well be up your way soon...

it's only a bloody car.............
