Have looked at the previous posts on this problem but I still don't know where to turn for my problem. My Td5 started leaking (engine) about 3 months ago and the mechanic said it was oil and replaced filter etc, however it was still leaking once back from garage. Went back again and was told it was diesel leak and they put in new rubber pipe, stopped leak and got it through its MOT.
Two days later - leaking again! but also have the "three amigos" on dashboard (could the two be linked). This time garage said don't know where the diesel leak is coming from and can't fix it!!
The car is starting and running OK but can't keep running it with this leak - can anyone help?
PS - can my engine go up in flames with this leak?

What side of the engine is the leak coming from?

If it's coming from the driver's side look at the back of the cylinder head above the starter motor, there's a fuel connector there it is prone to leaking and if it's not fixed it can kill your starter motor.

Also what kind of garage are you taking the car to if they can't find the fault, I'd stop going to them and find one that know's a little more about landys or start doing the repairs yourself.

yeah sorry same thread - was going to update this one with the valve thingy but could not find my post, hence why i started a new one. Minidod, would love to do my own repairs but know nowt about cars!
