2002 facelight cut out none runner.possible ecu failure

2002 td5 been running great upto yesterday , suddernly just lost rpm and the engine died.
all dash lights work and engine cranks , noticed the fuel pump isn't priming ( after testing pump isn't faulty,
also m and s lights flashing at same time of fault . (checked for fault code but will not contact to ecu (like its dead or lost power?)
I contected to auto box to find theres a cabbus problem , im assuming this comes from ecu , again sure its at fault , why im seeing this fault,
no oil in the loom plugs , anyone have any other possible help advise I can try before I ,send ecu off for checking??
