Oil Pressure Light

Hi all
Just aquired a disco 1996 300tdi.
My oil pressure light is coming on during idle when warm (sometimes)
Nothing there at cold start up. Flickers when changing down a bit.
Someone said pressure switch maybe? Or change oil/filter, I don't know how old it is.....
It has done 114,000 miles... What would be a good oil to go for?

Anything 15/40 mineral, but not synthetic, as i had oil consumption problems with syn oils on my last 300.
In your case as its unknown i would change oil and filter and oil switch then all bases covered, whats it ticking over at?

tick over at 600 rpm
Tested with a meter today, pressure was around 55 - 65
Changed switch and seems ok now, but not been on a longer run yet
