Sorry to hear this  Have posted it up on Landywatch and Defender2 forums also.

Did you have any form of security (Steering wheel/pedal lock etc) in place at the time of theft ? It helps us to build a picture of what works and what doesn't.

No idea if this happened in this case but it's worth being wary of dodgy folk following you home from P&P/trials sites

Hi party monkey, thanks for the interest and thanks muchly for the re-postings. The more publicity the better.
Sadly the vehicle has not yet been recovered but I remain hopefull as I believe this was an opportunist theft.
I have to admit there were no additional security devices fitted other than the standard door locks and standard steering/ignition lock which had been adequate for the last 8 years at my present (rural) address.
I will have to have a rethink on this now as it seems the local scrots seem to operate further afield for easier pickings where we are not used to being so security conscious.

No worries OS. The folk on Landywatch have posted it on their Facebook and twitter feeds too, so hopefully, the word will spread some some more too

I do hope you get her(him) back in one piece. It's worth having a mooch around on here and also on Landywatch (free to join, mostly populated by folk from LZ - hope this not classed as Spam :)) on the different security products or DIY security efforts that folk employ.

A tracker could be an option going forward. LZ has its very own tracker expert in Ryder, who I know would be happy to point you in the right direction if that was on your shopping list in the future :D

Very sad to report that does indeed appear to be my Land Rover. Thanks very much Wrexhamdotcom and Wrexham.com for your vigilance. I just wonder when The Old Bill will match their powers of observation as I have yet to hear a dicky bird from them.

Os

Sorry to hear about this, the little buggers

Not for from me where that was burnt out! Thankfully the diskloc that I ordered 2 months ago turned up this morning, might have to go down the tracker route....
