Need a early V8 Dizzy( Non serp type)

I have fitted the early non serp type engine in my Disco (1998) but the engine came without a distributor. The original one will not drive the oil pump as it is from the serp engine. Any one know which model I need or has one lying about??? Thanks.

You should be able to use your original serp type. Ya just need the extra lil bit that extends the bottom end of the shaft (held on by a split pin thingy), and a module plug adapter lead.
I did the opposite with my bobtail...ie it had an older original '90 plate engine in and I replaced with a '98 serp one, so took that thingy off the shaft. If I can find it, you're welcome to it.....its just a question of finding it! :/
