automatic gearbox

Hi,
I have a small problem with my automatic gearbox, when the disco is facing downhill and you put it in reverse it will not move back and the engine will not rev for a few mins, it eventually goes back. I have checked the oil and that is ok, anybody got any ideas!! cheers.
