hiya,

i was planning on keeping the diffs as standard, i was more concerned
with how the daihatsu t/box would affect running it in all
terrains(tarmac,mud,grass,motorways etc,etc),pulling 1 ton caravans up
steeeeeep hills in the morning and thundering round trials circuits in
the afternoon.

thanks for advice guys, im gunna try and get it in, somehow!

Interesting project would be nice to know if it worked out, I did think about 200 tdi in the lightweight but the advice at the time was that the series box wouldn't take it.

series boxes are ok if you look after them and don't try racing changes. i dunt know about yer rice burner box but if its perm 4x4 your front axle wont like it. it has uj's in it and was designed for selectable 4wd rather than perm 4wd.
