Indepent Dealers and Ratings Board
Hi
Was looking at Rangerovers.net and they have a board specifically for independant dealers broken down by State (Well in the US it kind of makes sense).
Would it make sense for a board that dealt with this along with the ability for it to accumulate stars from each member (only one vote per independant, can be revoked, changed) as a means of people finding out about useful places to get things fixed when they haven't got the time and or experience?
Like the idea and think that it would help newbie's and regulars alike.
I hope this helps

Hi
I reckon that as there is only one vote on each dealer that would not be too bad and the dealer could always reply by voting once and replying to the post.
Cheers
Adam

Re: Indepent Dealers and Ratings Board
If everyone had to write something too about there experience, this would mean that everyone else could decide how they would personally rate the service.
EG:
Details of work, Price, How easy to talk to, sticks to price estimates as workably possible etc etc.
The everyone could write what happened
EG.
He did work without telling me/didnt do work he promised and still charged it, scratched paint etc whilst in his garage. Got seats dirty, left a wheel nut loose, or more serious stuff like forgot to connect a hose properly which resulted in blown head gasket. That sort of thing which means each person can decide how bad in their opinion the workman/garage was.
I think a rating service is a good idea, especially for people who have moved to a new area and don't know any poeple to ask etc.
