Disco td5 how to remove jammed up o/s/f window

Hi my 2004 disco 2 es premium td5 2.5 front drivers side window has jammed in the closed position. Could anybody please tell me how to remove the regulator and check the motor when you cannot drop the window, have checked electrics the switch is letting power get to the motor but can't check if the motor is getting it without taking the motor out.
Thought about dropping complete window and regulator assembly by unbolting from the door, but don't know if motor cable is long enough to do this.
Please can anybody help!!!

If you take the door trim off you can get to the plug for the motor and attach a wire directly on to it. If that fails it all comes apart easily. the window just bolts to the runner and the door frame itself is very easy to get out of the way.
I recently swapped my motor and it was a very straight forward job.
