Can someone shrink my avatar please

I have uploaded an avatar pic but unfortunately it is 256x256 so will not show, please can someone help I have tried my best to shrink it but unsuccesful

You'll have to resize it on your computer to 250 by 250 pixels or less

I have no clue how to do that, guess I will have to ask google

Yes but the pic I have is too big and wont display as you can see where it has pushed my username to but pic is not visible.

I thought Mods might have had the technology to do it for me as I am useless with comps

Attatch it as an image and we'll see what can be done

According to the control panel you don't have an avatar pic uploaded

I seem to be having problems even attaching pics to this thread, I have just had to message site management as there was an error that appeared Hope this works anyway

Now this is a pic I could use as my avatar but it is not the one I was trying to use, the one I was trying to use is in my thread about "Is it ex mod" but if this one can be fitted I will be happy

Hey Paul. If you want you can e-mail the pic to me and I'll resize it for you. Also, I see you're in Shetland. Are you a member of Shetland LRC?

OK, sorted that problem out. I didn't have the option to save sent messages enabled. You should have two PMs from me.

Right clicking on Paul's avatar pic shows that the original image should be 120x120 pixels. For some reason it is stretched to twice it's width. Try using the 250x250 version I posted earlier.

OK, just had a look at the underlying code of the page and the image is dsplaying at 250x141 pixels, that's why it appears stretched. Presumably this is a hang-over from his attempts to upload an avatar pic. I think his profile needs to be set to "no avatar" in order to reset the code, then a new avatar uploaded again.

OK, now I'm confused.

Get an error message when uploading the 250x250. When I reset profile to no avatar it disappears from the control panel but not from the thread??
