Hi everyone,
Just brought back from the south of France an old 3 door 200 Tdi, its on French plates and was brought originally from Lindacres in Norwich then taken abroad. It has the steering wobble and the 800 mile trip took 20 hours with stopping and the ferry delays but she never skipped a beat, even in the 2 hour traffic jam around Paris!
one owner from new, full service history, original bill of sale and a fairly new cylinder head! few issues to sort out, mainly the steering wobble but I am changing the suspension over and replacing all the bushes, especially the rear shock rubbers at the bottom as they are not there at all! rear a frame ball joint has play as well. Once that's done I will tighten the steering up and check pitman arm and steering joints etc.
I have to mot it then send off all paperwork to register it here and it should take about a month so gives me plenty of time to get her sorted!
