Hello,

My name is Jamie and I'm 28 years old and I'm glad to be getting married in October this year.

Its been a life long dream of mine to own a Landover defender and one day I will buy one for sure! Ever since an early age I've wanted one, i just think there a fantastic designed vehicle.

Our wedding is near the norfolk broards with our honeymoon up in north Norfolk, so its a proper Norfolk country wedding.
I had wanted to hire a Defender for the week and use it to take my fiancé to the church. But I've struggled to find a place to hire them where the costs are remotely affordable. With the cost of everything related to weddings being astronomical!

I was wondering if any one knew any one who would be willing to hire/lend out there defender for a week in October? I would be extremely grateful and it would make my Norfolk wedding even more unforgettable.
With out doubt I would look to cover the insurance etc,

I hope you can help me,

Kind Regards

Jamie

I'm afraid that the chances of me standing by and watching a person I've:

(a) never met before, and

(b) do not know at all, who

(c) has made one single post on an internet forum asking me to hand over the keys to my Defender

so that they can drive off into the sunset with it are absolutely fooking nil.

The thought of me futhermore giving that person a whole week's grace to potentially break it up/export it/sell it or whatever is even less than nil.

I wish you luck for the wedding - I really do and the above is nothing personal, but no way! Not in a million years. Soz!

I've got a Series 3 you can hire. Nice and shiney too. It'll cost you £1850 for the deposit and I'll even let you keep it afterwards.

I hope you can help me, (I won't be contributing myself)

Kind Regards (so long suckers)

Jamie

so your 28 and you post on a forum like your writing a letter to an agony aunt, you didn't even think to use google first........tell me, which rock have you been renting/paying mortage on?

If you'd have bothered to read the forum rules, you'd have had the sense to post in the introductions section first.

the only way you'd get any decent amount of info on your problem here is if you invited the regulars, paid for their board and free food and booze at the wedding breakfast.

You can borrow mine in exchange for a go on the Mrs :D

Wouldn't want her for a whole week though

I have a nice Series 3 you can rent for a week. You'd need to collect it from Yeovil. after the funds had cleared of course.

£50 a day and I'll even throw in a 5ltr can of petrol..

THIS POST IS SOME

my weldingwas done near manchester with its rebore and engine rebuild being under way its a propper fooker of a job, .
I had wanted to buy a working series in the first place and use it to take my daughter to school and me to work But I've struggled to find a decent working part on the bugger causing a full on blood sweat n tears rebuild using any parts i can lay my hands on at coststhat are remotely affordable. With the cost of everything related to welding engineering parts garage costs lecci gas and water rates being astronomical!

I was wondering if any one knew any one who would be willing to lend me a grand to do the job properly and i know its going to be a bitch to bleed the diesel system up when its back together so if anyone has a raring to go fiance to suck start the thing ? I would be extremely grateful and it would make my series rebuild even more unforgettable.
With out doubt I would look to cover the tea n biscuits etc,

I hope you can help me,

Kind Regards

johnny
